Echo
Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris
2024

The Écho project is currently in a phase of research and experimentation, focused on visual art. The installation, currently being developed at the Cité des Arts, explores the character of Echo, as imagined by Ovid, within our contemporary world. The goal is to construct a metaphorical incarnation of Echo in the digital realm, where her identity is shaped and defined by the repetition of other users' content—capturing, in particular, the last pixels of their photos and the final words of their posts.
One of the components I am currently exploring involves the development of two algorithms: the first retrieves photographs from social networks by mimicking the infinite scrolling gesture of a user, storing them in the computer's memory. The second algorithm creatively processes the isolated pixels from these images. This exploration will generate visuals that highlight identity dynamics and resonance in the digital space, while questioning how we construct and perceive our online presence through the impact of the information we receive every day.
